Business students from Canterbury Christ Church University have secured a place in the national finals of the IBM Business Challenge for the second year running.

The team consisting of Christopher Andersson, William Hahlani, Jack Dalton, Michael Alexander and Moses Alusa battled off major competition in the semi-finals, including Imperial College and Brunel University, held at RBS London to claim victory.

Christopher Andersson, 19, said: “We are all very pleased with our achievement, and we’re proud to represent the University.”

The competition tests the teams on their entrepreneurial skills in different business scenarios.

Dr Wim Van Vurren, Lecturer of the Universities Business Department said: “This is a very good cohesive team, who work well together under pressure. It was fantastic to see them do so well.”

The last remaining teams will compete at the grand final, to be held at IBM HQ in Middlesex on Friday, 25 March.
